How the Dandelion Tree was planted
The Dandelion Tree was created with the intention of crafting clean, quality products. As your mother taught, its whats inside that counts.
Sometimes we don’t know how bright we can bloom until we are put in the darkness. Like the dandelion, we can take hold and grow even in the most unlikely ways and places.
In the Spring of 2020, while the world began to wrestle with the realities of a global pandemic, I began a parallel journey of a battle again breast cancer. As does happen often in times like this, I began to question what led to this diagnosis. And while I did not live a particular unhealthy lifestyle - I exercised, don’t smoke, rarely drink alcohol, get my sleep - I realized one area I rarely paid mind to was what I put on my body. Now, as I was facing 20 weeks of chemo, surgeries, radiation, immuno-therpy, I realized I could do better. I began reading and questioning everything that was in the products I used. Why did we need so many chemicals, so many ingredient that seemed to serve only as a space filler? Then I began to feel the effect of treatments on my skin. More then ever I needed healthy, nourishing choices. I couldn’t find what I wanted. So I began creating my own. And so were planted the seeds of the Dandelion Tree.
From those early days I have learned and crafted. I found great pleasure in making and gifting what I made and hearing the amazing things simple, clean products could do for your skin. Now I hope to share the same with you. Quality products where every ingredient counts.
